I love florals and fruity fragrances, but I must admit that sometimes I may be doing too many soaps of this type. I don’t usually purchase many “clean type” or “masculine” scents. I think because I don’t gravitate to the blue and green colors. With my floral and fruity fragances I have multiple colors to choose from. With the clean fragrances all I can think of is green or blue. But every now and then I do purchase the occasional non-floral fragrance, with the hope that my husband will finally pick up one of my soaps and just LOVE IT!…He is very picky and prefers all natural, unscented and no colors…the type of soap the I rarely make!
So I may as well hold my breath a little longer and hope that the soap that I made recently will be the winner. I know the fragrance was a winner for me! It is “Shave and Haircut” from Bramble Berry. I must admit I was not sure if I was going to like it and when I finally opened it and took a smell, it won me over.
This fragrance is one that I would even use myself. It’s a nice clean type smell. Not over powering. It’s like the “out of the shower fresh” type. I really like it and would be buying some more.
I was not sure how it would soap and decided to play it safe and just do a simple in the pot swirl with just blue and green micas. I also tried something very different this time and decided to mix my Titanium Dioxide with my lye water. It worked well…and I was pretty happy with the final result.
I have also been playing around with some of the features in my camera. I am using the “manual mode” exclusively and playing with the settings to catch just the right lighting. I am having some fun!
Thanks for checking out my blog! Happy Soaping! 🙂
