Winter months are often difficult for me to take pictures of my current soap. By the time I arrive from work it is usually dark already, or most of the great light is gone. The weekends are a little to hectic with kids activities and house chores. I do have a Light Box that I purchased last year to take pictures during these months, but I struggle so much with the lights that attach to the sides. I have one light that refuses to attach to a chair or side of the desk. I am trying to move around the Light Box to find the right light and all these lights are falling off…It’s pretty frustrating!
I decided to purchase one of these last week…
I felt pretty professional as I was putting it together, and even my husband was pretty impressed! 🙂
I must admit that I was a little nervous on whether this was going to work for me. I struggle in the beginning with my camera and finally I decided to change the lens. It seemed that I was getting a little too close and taking away some of the light that this kit was providing. I think that did the trick since I was finally happy with some of the results.
I think I still need to fiddle with the lights since it’s still a bit darker than what I want. I have seen some beautiful pictures online of soaps, and the lighting is so nice and bright! I really need to do a little bit more of homework on photography to help with some of my picture-taking.
The picture below was taken under natural light. I think this light kit does the trick for now and will help me take indoor pictures when I am unable to take them outside or under natural light.
