Here are to remakes of two soaps that I enjoy to do.
Quinceanera is fragrance with Pink Grapefruit and I love this fragrance. It’s a sparkling, fresh, citrus scent and I like to use this fragrance with my pink soaps. I have noticed in the past two makes of this soap that I need to start adding a little more Titanium Dioxide. I am missing the nice white that I used to get in some of my soaps and now I am getting a cream, almost yellow color. I still love the swirls. I just think that they would pop a bit more if I added more white.
I like to add the sugar pearls to that top to give it that extra elegance to it. I love this soap and it’s a favorite of many.
My next up is Gardenia. This fragrance has really made me work for it! It has certainly thought me how to work with florals and control my soaping temperature. The first times I tried soaping this fragrance I ended up with soap that seized. In one occasion I was working quickly to avoid the setting of the soap that I accidentally forgot to add one of my butters.
I do think that it has finally started to like me. I have gotten much comfortable soaping with it and it has even allowed me some nice fluid swirls!
I still get nervous. Every time I am ready to pour the fragrance into my soap mix, I hold my breath and hope that it does not work too fast for me. I think that is probably why I have not tried to do cupcakes with it since I am afraid I am going to end up with a bag full of hard soap. Eventually I will try it.
