I love Hawaiian fragrances. It reminds me of Summer. Hawaiian Ginger is one of my favorite fragrances and if I could figure out how to do candles I would be using this scent.
During my last trip at Trader Joe’s, when I found the Coconut Milk in the milk aisle, I also happen to find a bottle of Goats Milk . I snatched it off the shelf so fast! I was so excited. I finally have the opportunity try Goats Milk that is not in a can or powdered. I still have not been able to find a place near where I live where I can purchase fresh Goat Milk. Finding it in the milk aisle was the next best thing 🙂
I froze the milk and slowly stirred in the lye to dissolved it. For this recipe I used a combination of Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Soybean Oil, Palm, Castor and Cocoa Butter.
I wanted to make sure it would not gel on me since I wanted a creamy bar of soap so I stuck it in the fridge and froze it over night. It worked like a charm and when it was ready to unmold and cut I could not be any happier.
The fragrance came through very nicely and I can’t wait to try it.
I am heading for a busy weekend. Mother’s Day Weekend!
For all you wonderful Mom’s, new Mom’s, Mom’s to be and Honorary Moms
Happy Mother’s Day!!!
